Common questions
How much does tree surgery cost?
It depends on the tree, not just its height: how easy it is to reach, what is underneath it, and how much has to be taken away. We come and look for free and give you a clear price for the job.
Do I need permission to cut down or prune a tree?
Sometimes. If the tree has a Tree Preservation Order or you are in a conservation area, the council has to be asked first. It is worth checking with your local council before any work starts, and we can advise you on what to look for.
Can I cut back branches overhanging from my neighbour's tree?
Generally you can cut back branches that cross onto your side, back to the boundary, as long as the tree is not protected. It is good manners to talk to your neighbour first. Several of our jobs are exactly this, and we will keep the cut tidy and the tree healthy.
Do you take everything away?
Yes. Branches are chipped, logs are cut and removed, and the garden is raked and swept before we leave. Customers mention it in almost every review.
Do you grind out stumps?
Yes. A stump grinder takes the stump and main roots out below ground level, so the area can be turfed, planted or built on.
Do you do emergency call-outs?
Yes. We are open 24 hours for fallen, split and dangerous trees. Call 07938 701177 and we will make it safe as quickly as we can.
